Network

The Network section displays information on network nodes and allows users to administer network equipment. It is accessible through the navigation bar on the left side of the display.

Below are instructions on how to configure the network node.

Instructions:

  1. Click Add Node in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Add all MAC Addresses with a new line for each:
    Example:
    AB:C1:23:DE:F4:56
    AB:C1:23:DE:F4:97
    AB:C1:23:DE:F4:74
  3. Set a network profile in the following format: SITE-USER, SITE-AIR-0
  4. Set the Rate profile. Client ID is the ID of the user it needs to be associated with.
  5. IPv4 & IPv6 Sections are optional and can be left on DHCP, this will pick up the network from the profile above.
  6. The hostname can be set however if the node replies with a Hostname it will be replaced with the one the node is sending out.
  7. Finally, add how the node is connected: wired, fibre and wireless.

The above steps are similar to those of the nodes section. There are however more options once we enter the node section; as is evident below.

Node Details will show the general information of the node. To the right of these details, the user will notice a picture of the node itself, the active ports and finally, below, the user can see the endpoints attached to that Network Node.

The above menu outlines a number of key functions for node management. This includes the following:

  • Disable the node
  • Edit Node allows the user to change the settings they made when adding the node.
  • Reset Connection
  • Assign a user (a system user for example)
